Bought an extended maintance package from the Encinitas BMW under false pretense. Now the dealership or customer service will not contact me back. Is this the way bmw handles miss information? If you read their reviews they are known for scamming people
I was scammed by the bmw encinitas, now no one will call me back! I was told i would need brakes soon so i bought their maintenance package just to find out i did not need brakes. Please read what other say here.

I felt duped at AutoNation Honda Dulles and I drove over an hour from Annapolis with an appointment for the privilege. Day before yesterday I was browsing the Web for a used Volkswagen CC, a car I once had and loved. I so hate my Honda Accord EXLN (the one you want to date, not marry!) that I was willing to trade down. I get Justin on the phone, who talks the car up as newly arrived, previously bought as VW pre-certified, so it must be in good shape, and how soon do I want to see it? Day after tomorrow, I say. He sets up the appointment, and when he confirms by email, he asks to push it back 2 hours to be sure the car detailed for me; btw, Jorge will be taking care of me. O.K. Then Jorge emails me to confirm too. Next day a manager calls me up personally to confirm too. Sounds pretty good so far, eh? Well, it doesn't end so good.
I get there and Jorge doesn't seem to know who I am or that I have an appointment with him. He goes off to whisper for a bit and comes back saying that he understands all my concerns [really?] and has related them to his manager and is handing me over to Patrick. Patrick wants to start with assessing my car for trade-in. Well, I'd like to see the car I came to see first, to see if I'm interested, say I. This will save you time, replies he; they can do the assessment while we test-drive. I'm thinking, "Why do you get all the info on my car before I get any info on your car?" Skeptical, I give him my license, and my registration, and my keys, and all the car history, but I tell him I feel like he is boxing me in, and I repeat a couple more times that I'd like to see the car first, and he reassures me that he's going to show me the car, and he even pulls out a dealer license plate and puts it on the desk. He whisks away my car keys and his dealer trade-in forms, but then comes back to report that the car is at a body shop a half-hour away. What?!? After all those confirmations of an appointment?!? After I drive over an hour around the Beltway?!? What the heck? By the way, why the heck is it in a body-shop?!? No one disclosed any need of bodywork to me and your Web photo of the car doesn't show any need. Realizing I was had, I demanded my car keys and bailed.
Would you believe that even before I even got home, fuming the whole way back around the Beltway, I got an email message from the General Manager thanking me for my visit and hoping I was satisfied? So I dial him up and say, Your message has to be auto-generated because you must know I just left your showroom cussing? I figured he didn't know, because Honda-automated is what AutoNation looks like to me. Well, he claimed that someone not knowing about my appointment had taken the car to a body shop for repair of minor scratches. He's sorry but he doesn't know how he could make it up to me now. Well since I drove over an hour around the Beltway to see the car, now you drive it to me to see! He says, O.K., let me look into that and call you back. I actually felt appeased. I did, I really did. Then the call comes: Well, it won't be ready before Friday, so let's talk then. Friday? It will take three MORE days to repair "cosmetic" scratches? This all started with Justin on Monday but this car is not sale-ready until Friday? Sounds fishy to me.
P.S. Justin reaches out to me with apologies and extenuations. The car will be back from the shop on Friday and he's ready to drive it out to me in Annapolis as a Home Delivery along with paperwork to sign on the spot if I decide to buy it. Well, I wasn't likely to buy it on sight, but what more could I ask for? So I have to aver that General Manager Aaron and Sales Associate Justin bent over backwards to make it all up to me. I can't vouch for much more, because I kept shopping and found a better deal, so I've never seen the car. But Justin sent me many pretty photos of it and we've wished another well.

This PLACE IS TRASH TRASH TRASH !!!!!!! I put 5K down and let me leave with the car and then called back the next day to say I need to return the car back or I need to have another co signer. So, I got a another co-signer and they called and said I was approved again , then 30 minutes later said , never mind , I need 7K down , I did everything they told me to do , was told 3X I was approved and they LIED !! I would not recommend this place they're a JOKE , they will ROB you blind
I HATE THIS COMPANIES PRACTICES!
consumer affairs tells a clear story on how they deal with individuals all over the country.
The approach and practices are not viewed favorably, hundreds of 1 star reviews all saying the same thing, Auto Nation are dishonest, vehicles are not sound and their salesmen are doing what ever it takes to sell something.
Their approach is a cheesy used car attic at best, they lie acting like they are doing you a favor offering their vehicles at market value at best.
I will never deal with this group ever again, what a HORRIBLE company with slimy tactics.
Gave AutoNation Ford in St Petersburg a deposit to purchase a car on March 15th. could not purchase the car & requested a refund of deposit on March 17th which the salesman said he would take care of. eight days later numerous calls, messages & a visit to the dealership & NO REFUND YET. Spoke with the GM Bruce Heath today in person who denied responsibility & made excuses. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP THEY ARE CROOKS !!!
DISGUSTED at how Auto Nation treats disabled female veterans and takes advantage of us all for profit. I even contacted Corporate and they treated me worse! That company should be ashamed. I wonder if CEO Mike Jackson and VP of Customer Experience feel about how their Corporate Offices won't even return phone calls or emails about an issue with unfair treatment?
This is a review of AutoNation Chevrolet West Colonial, which is located in Orlando, FL. I initially encountered problems with a salesman not getting back to me, but Ievgen Romanenko (eCommerce Sales Manager) intervened, professionally dealt with unusual circumstances, and expertly guided me through the buying process. The end result was a great deal and a good experience.
I just purchased a used Toyota FJ cruiser (only 52K miles) from Autonation Pinellas Park Toyota sight unseen after finding it advertised online. The sales personnel involved were all very pleasant and the transaction was smooth. The problem was after delivery. The vehicle was transported from the dealership and arrived to me 12 days after purchase. I didn’t drive it the first two days because of rain but by the third day when I drove it the check engine light was on (after less than 10 miles of total driving). I emailed the used car sales manager and he told me to take it to the closest AutoNation dealership. That was 200 miles from me and none of the three AutoNation dealerships in that city were Toyota dealers. I emailed him back and he said it didn’t matter as any AutoNation dealer would do. So, I drove 200 miles to a AutoNation Honda dealership and a very nice service advisor said what should have been done was I should’ve been given a warranty claim number so that I can take it to the closest Toyota dealership near me to have them evaluate the problem. He also said his Honda dealership did not have the diagnostic equipment to determine what the problem was and said he would have to outsource it to a local Toyota dealership himself. He did provide me with a claim number and I took it to my local Toyota dealership who noted that one of the Catalytic converters was bad. The Toyota service advisor contacted Autonations’ claim department and was told that catalytic converters are not covered under any of their warranty policies. Replacement cost would be an excess of $1,000. I then wrote a letter to the Pinellas Park dealership and asked them to consider paying “all or Part” of the catalytic converter replacement cost. I then followed up with a phone call to them again and the request was denied.
FYI - AutoNation has a “Five day No questions asked return on any vehicle purchased.” If I had been a local buyer then I assume I would’ve been able to bring the vehicle back to the dealership and they would’ve repaired it. But if you are from Out of State the Five Day period will most likely expire before the car is even delivered to you. So, my words of warning to anyone considering buying online or Out of State from AutoNation or in particular this dealership is that you should realize that any problem with the vehicle will be your problem. My problem occurred within the first 10 miles of driving the vehicle and you would expect a dealership to step up and do the right thing. I understand perfectly that catalytic converters are not covered under extended warranty’s BUT ANY problem that occurs within the first 3 days or 10 miles of driving after delivery of a newly purchased vehicle should be covered. You have a false sense of security based on Autonations’ 5 day policy and 90 day warranty. So, the used car manager said that if I could bring it back and he would repair it, but since I live 900 miles away he knows that won’t happen. Keep that in mind when you are considering buying Online/Out of State from an Autonation dealership. This dealer could have easily made a small concession by supplying the Catalytic converter and I would have paid the installation and they would have had a happy customer. So, remember Autonations’ claim of service at any of their dealerships is very misleading and rings hollow as exampled by my taking it to the closest dealership to me. And need I say more about their warranty coverage.
I am sure that Pinellas Park Toyota will post their standard response to this complaint of we regret your experience with us but please reach out to our General Manager…. They have my email address and phone number. At this point, I do not expect Autonation will reconsider covering any of the cost of this repair and my only motivation in writing this is to make other prospective Autonation buyers aware of these issues which should give them pause.
Sincerely,
Edwin Dodd, M.D.
Absolutely the worst experience in my life with any auto dealership. Don't expect to having get a return phone call they won't even call when promised. Took my car in on Wednesday night and was told that they would start on it first thing Thursday. Called at 1:00pm and they had not even started. Called at 5:00pm and they were just starting. Had to order a part but said it should be in Friday. Friday came and no part. Was told should have it Monday, no part on Monday. Tuesday part came in and was installed but while technician was testing it he found another problem. Again they would have to order the part, Cost of part was going to be $225, checked at another dealer that had the part in stock retail price from GM is $183.12 they sell it for 119.21. I just went and picked up my car. I have been driving it for two days with no problems. I would hate to see the number of calls I had to make to get any information. If you want to be overcharged and treated very poorly this is the place to go, but I would not advise it.

DONT BE A FOOL! NEVER BUY FROM AUTO NATION OR"OFF LEASE" -FLORIDA. THEY ARE THE MOST DEPLORABLE, BIGGEST CROOKS ANYWHERE! THESE SALES PEOPLE QUOTED ME HIGH PRICES FOR CARS THAT NO DEALER WOULD EVER WANT. THEN THEY ADD $ 2,000+ IN FEES!!!! DONT BE A FOOL!!! THEY AWAIT STUPID IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT THEY CAN DUMP THEIR LOW QUALITY, FREQUENTLY DAMAGED ( CHECK CARFAX!) WORN OUT,USUALLY FROM AUCTIONS, AND LOWER QUALITY CARS ON UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE
If there was a way to select 0.5 or 0, I would have. This is about the AutoNation in Roseville Ca. I will stay away from singling out individuals but those working internet sales know who you are. This post is for all those considering using AutoNation for an internet sales transaction. Many flaws with their process starting with no clear identification of what they need for a transaction. I initially told them that Edmonds shows their vehicle is a bit high and asked if they would meet the Edmonds estimate. They said no negotiating price. I was ok with that but the following week I see they dropped their price - (why not work it when I asked??). I connected with them again, and started the process to buy. They asked for Lic and Ins ID, which I sent. They didn't like the insurance card I sent so I sent them a policy page copy. I asked them if they had a check list of all that is needed but what I got is a series of request for information with minimal specifics consequently there were many emails back and forth with them telling me that submissions were not good enough. No call to help mind you, txt's saying "it won't work". I would resend, then that wasn't good enough. This went on for about a week. All they while they told me that they couldn't hold the vehicle until they get all my information. After getting them all the primary ID info, they come back and said they needed a second form of ID. I sent them the top portion of my phone bill with my name on it, account number my address and all the pertinent information I would expect for ID verification. They said it wasn't good enough. So at their request, I sent the rest of the page with no additional ID related information on the page but thats what they wanted. This all took about a week and half because they were not interested in helping me over the phone. So once I had all of that to them so that they could put the 3 day hold on the vehicle, I follow up with them the next morning to ensure they have everything and that the vehicle is on hold along with getting the funding arranged for them. I emailed, texted, called and left VMs and finally got a text at the end of the day telling me that it looks like the truck was sold. I sent back to them a question saying I though I had all the information to you the previous night to hold the truck ? I received a text back with the pleasant response of "NO". No sorry, thank you, no advanced notice from them saying, hey someone is interested in the truck and if you want to hold it we need to do XYZ. So, buyer beware if you are considering a purchase at AutoNation Roseville Ca., the sales folks don't care about you, your needs, that you were working with them on a deal for several days, it's all about how do they get there commission the quickest. I hope this is helpful for those of you looking for a new vehicle. Merry Christmas and hope and pray for a better new year for all of us.
My wife and I had been looking for a used RS RS5 for a long time. We found one at Audi Hunt Valley, which was a bit of a concern as we are in California, but they are an Auto Nation Dealership, so I figured they could transfer it to a local Auto Nation Dealership for a charge.
On Monday:
I connected with Nick Hill at Audi Hunt Valley.
Nick sent me information on the car I wanted, and we worked out the details (Including Price and Shipping Cost) to have it shipped to an Auto Nation Dealer in my area.
On Tuesday:
I connected with a local Auto Nation Dealer (Roseville Subaru), where the car was to be shipped. They advised there would be some advantages if I purchased the vehicle from them directly and that since they were all one Auto Nation Family, it wasn't an issue to move the deal. I signed paperwork agreeing to the price and the non-refundable shipping charge. Kevin, the used car Manager at Audi Hunt Valley, called me and asked why I moved the deal. I explained that, according to the local dealership, it was better for them to do the deal since they were in California and could offer the Auto Nation fice day guarantee. I said I'd like to buy the car and hoped they could work out the details between the two dealerships. He said they could.
Wednesday:
Audi Hunt Valley sold the car to someone else, and when I was finally able to get someone on the phone, Kevin said, "He didn't know I was still interested in the car."

I showed up here inquiring about a new car I wanted to purchase. I asked the sales rep to see if they had any specials. I waited outside in the cold for 40 minutes and no sales rep......I then seen him helping others with a truck. I was angry but went inside for help. I then waited another 30 minutes before one of the reps felt bad, and then they helped me. After being told my interest rate would be 1.9% and then driving the car home I was told the paper i signed wasn't accurate. They said my interest would be 8.99% and no one was offering anything lower. I knew that wasn't right seeing as I had a 740 credit score. So after all that hassle I gave them the keys back and left. They then emailed me numerous times apologizing, and then saying I can get the 1.9% and to please come back. I will never come back here. You guys can't tell the truth.
